The reasoningbehind the software.

Short, practical pieces on lineup construction, quality at‑bats, and the statistics that actually move run production. Written for coaches, not for people who enjoy arguing about baseball on the internet.

On the writing here

If a claim can’t be checked, it doesn’t belong in a piece about statistics.

These articles avoid the two failure modes of baseball analytics writing. The first is false precision — quoting a run‑expectancy figure to two decimal places as though it applied to a twelve‑year‑old’s Saturday game. The second is mysticism, where the math is presented as too complicated to explain and you are asked to trust the output.

Where a number comes from the app, it is labeled as such. Where something is a judgment call, it is written as one. Coaches are not short of people willing to sound certain at them.
